"St. Paul summed up his "declaration of independence" also known as the Letter to the Galatians by writing, "May I never boast of anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been cricified to me, and I to the world. For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is anything; but a new creation is everything! As for those who will follow this rule - peace be upon them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God." (Galatians 6:14-16)
The sign of the cross is the most authentic and clear message that I know of. It is the sign of hope and grace to our world. It declares freedom and independence for us because of God's love brought about through the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus."
From Pastor Ron's 2010 4th of July sermon.
Day 4. Dollar 4.
As we set 4th to serve others, let us remember who first served us, and give thanks that, through hope and grace, we have received a gift that is free for all!
